aTM KINGDOMS

PLAYER GUIDE

Build wisely.
Grow steadily.

Kingdoms is a multiplayer kingdom-management game about balancing a growing economy, a population and an army. This guide explains the main systems and gives new rulers a practical place to start.

1. Your first steps

After creating an account, you begin with one kingdom on the shared map. A new kingdom starts with 120 gold, 80 population and 10 soldiers. The map is a way to see the other kingdoms in the world; territory conquest is currently disabled.

Before spending, look at the gold total and the cost shown on each action. Building and upgrading costs rise as your kingdom develops, so the same action may cost more at a higher level. Start with the parts of your kingdom that support the way you want to play.

Tip: use the x1, x5 and x10 selector to compare the total cost before confirming a batch of upgrades or buildings. Recruitment uses the same selector to buy 5, 25 or 50 soldiers.

2. Gold and the economy

Gold pays for development and recruitment. Your kingdom earns passive gold over time: its starting production is 1 gold per minute. A Mine adds 1 gold per minute for each level, while a Market adds 2 gold per minute for each level. Income is collected by the game and reflected in your kingdom's gold balance.

Each building level is priced progressively. The next level costs more than the previous one, and a batch purchase adds together the costs of every level in that batch. A larger purchase is convenient, but it still needs enough gold for the complete displayed price.

Plan a simple cycle: invest in production, allow your reserves to grow, then use the available gold for population, buildings or troops. Your preferred balance depends on whether you want to develop the economy, prepare an army or invest in several systems at once.

3. Choosing buildings

Every building has a different role. The best choice depends on what you are trying to improve next:

Because building costs increase with each level, compare the price of a new level with the benefit it provides. A production building can support future investments; a specialist building helps most when you actively use its feature.

4. Population and recruitment

The Upgrade action adds 12 population. Its price is based on your current population, so the cost is calculated separately for each level when you buy several at once. Farms are another way to add population, granting 10 people per level.

Recruitment buys soldiers in groups of 5, 25 or 50, depending on the selected quantity. Each soldier normally costs 8 gold. Barracks levels lower that price by 1 per level, with a floor of 4 gold per soldier. The recruitment button shows the current group size and total cost.

Troops are used when attacking the world boss. An attack grants 100 gold and a randomly selected hero item, but the army loses a portion of its soldiers. Each Fortress level reduces the share of soldiers lost, so consider strengthening your defenses before repeated attacks.

5. Your hero and adventures

Your hero can go on an adventure once every two hours. An adventure grants experience and gold, and may also find an item. Outcomes vary: the hero can return injured, find a healing spring or complete the adventure successfully.

Every 100 experience raises the hero by a level. Leveling up increases the hero's strength and defense and expands maximum health. Academy levels add experience to each adventure, so an Academy investment supports long-term hero development.

Items can improve your hero's equipment or be kept in the inventory. Review the hero panel after an adventure to see the result, current health, level and available equipment.

6. The map and community

The kingdom map shows each ruler's starting territory and the other kingdoms in the world. Territory cannot currently be bought or conquered, so growth comes from developing your own kingdom rather than taking another player's land.

Players can create or join alliances and communicate through the live chat, private messages and alliance chat. The leaderboard provides a snapshot of kingdom development. Visit another kingdom's profile from the map to learn more about its ruler and progress.

World news is available on a separate public page. Inside the game, the news panel reports events from the game world. These community features make it easier to follow activity beyond your own resource screen.

7. Reward games

Tetris and Snake are optional mini-games that award gold when a game session is completed. Your reward depends on the session duration and score, with a daily first-place bonus when your score beats the current daily best. The game displays rankings so players can compare scores.

Use the on-screen controls or the keyboard controls shown beside the game board. You can pause, restart or close an active game. Mini-games offer another way to earn some gold between kingdom decisions.

A steady strategy

There is no single required development path. If you value predictable growth, invest in Mine or Market levels and save part of the income. If you want to explore more systems, mix production with Farms, Barracks, the Academy or Fortress. Check prices before each action and use batch controls only when you can afford the full total.

Kingdoms is an evolving game, and its mechanics may change as new features are introduced. The descriptions and costs shown in the game are the best guide to the current version.
